CORSAIR VIRTUOSO GAMING HEADSET
Background
Almost a decade ago, CRE8 established a features-exposed gaming design language “exoskeleton” for Corsair, and it was gradually implemented on a wide range of Corsair products from memory kits to input and output devices. Following the success of our first gaming headset collaboration – Vengeance, CRE8 was assigned again to create a premium flagship version of gaming headset for the company.
Challenges
Corsair wanted this headset to meet the needs of serious gamers and yet as a great companion for music enthusiasts. Designers had to differentiate the look from other existing gaming headsets on the market, while following the brand’s signature style as well as incorporating all other requirements: high-fidelity audio experience and lasting comfort.
Solutions
With impeccable sound quality, the design features a lightweight machined aluminum construction in a gunmetal accent to provide long-term durability. The soft memory foam earpads and headband deliver maximum comfort and ergonomically fit your head.
A unique micro-perforated logo with RGB back lighting subtly shines through the aluminum earcups and becomes invisible when turned off. The integrated controls on the rear of the earcup allow for easy setting. The detachable microphone boom immediately transforms this gaming device into a pure audiophile headset.
