CRE8 was commissioned by tech startup – bPoint to build a smart and coherent energy saving experience based on a human-centered design approach. The journey started from logo creation, product innovation, and was completed with a friendly user interface as well as packaging solution.
The design team came up with a logo that was instantly recognizable and accepted worldwide. The concentric circles symbolize the planets and the universe; the extension of the circles represents Bluetooth technology and infinite possibilities.
The App used to control the device is essential to the overall user experience. We wanted to create a virtual butler that helps users manage energy consumption in an intuitive and friendly way.
After multiple rounds of testing, the instructional icons were designed to be easily identified by all users. The interface also incorporated the brand’s theme colors and visual elements to keep the experience consistent.
The graphics on the exterior and the unboxing steps were carefully considered to encourage people to try the new technology without feeling intimidated; the structure was cleverly designed to be more sustainable for the environment.
