A NEW ERA
Digitization of TCM Healthcare
Focusing on the modernization of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), AUO Health aims to promote the digitization of TCM diagnostics through the development of a “Pulse Detection System” and a “Tongue Image Capture System”. They endeavor to build a useful large-scale information database to help researchers and TCM practitioners record test results and support clinical diagnoses and academic research, bringing TCM into the AI era. CRE8 joined the projects to assist with product realization.
Friendly User Experience
The innovative “Pulse Detection System” utilizes multi-point array pressure sensing technology to assess the patient’s health by palpating the pulse at three points on each wrist and transforming the readings into data. The design streamlines the operation, making the process intuitive, safe, and user-friendly, while ensuring a professional yet approachable appearance. Similarly, the “Tongue Image Capture System” employs AUO’s two-stage image calibration to evaluate tongue color and coating for examining health conditions. The design team carefully considered ergonomics to deliver a comfortable diagnostic experience for patients.
Design for Manufacturability
The engineering team optimized the placement of the camera module and its distance from the tongue to ensure accurate diagnostics. The modular solutions, both lightweight and stable, are designed for easy manufacturability and assembly while saving packaging space. The materials used meet strict safety regulations and biological compatibility requirements. When combined with big data analytics, these systems enhance precision in smart healthcare.
