NEXMOW is a product brand of URSROBOT, a company specializing in advanced mowing technology. CRE8 played a key role in shaping its brand identity, designing the next-generation robot mower, and optimizing the companion app with simplicity in mind to ensure an intuitive experience—even for beginners.
Streamlined Operation
The NEXMOW robot mowers come with a wide range of powerful features, requiring a user-friendly app to match. The original app had a complex, text-heavy interface, making information difficult to read and key functions hard to find. In the redesigned app, the designers seamlessly integrated features from two generations of robot mowers, streamlining the overall operation.
Iteration Makes Perfect
The team started with wireframes and refined the design through extensive testing and iteration in Figma. By rethinking the workflow, they moved key functions to the main page for quick access, prioritized features in the bottom navigation bar, and added a tutorial page for guidance when needed.
Improving Clarity with Visual Elements
Additionally, designers improved readability by applying visual hierarchy, adjusting font sizes and colors to present information more clearly. Redesigned icons, illustrations, and subtle animations transformed text into engaging graphical content, guiding users smoothly through each step.
Seamless Integration
The app’s optimized interface enhances work efficiency with centralized control, automation, and real-time monitoring for large-scale mowing. The device page displays the status of all robots, while the task page shows those in operation. Users can seamlessly create and save digital boundary maps, schedule tasks, adjust grass-cutting modes, and track malfunctions.
