CRE8 Collaborated with Corning to Translate Awarded Student’s Idea into Reality
CRE8 was honored to be invited to the award ceremony of Corning Future Innovator Competition 2017. While delivering a speech, CRE8’s Founder and Executive Director, Kris Verstockt, thanked Corning for providing a great environment for students to really collaborate with industries.
The award entered its third year, and has become a reputable competition for design students. Thus in 2017, Corning decided to realize last year’s winning project – a Selfie Flash Case – and turned the idea into a functioning product.
CRE8 was assigned to help with the process of product realization, overcoming challenges from design to mechanical engineering. The product was successfully presented at the award ceremony by CRE8’s Senior Design Manager, Willie Wu, demonstrating how creativity could be translated into reality.
